2010: Odyssey Two is a science fiction novel by Arthur C. Clarke, published in 1982. It is the sequel to Clarke's iconic novel 2001: A Space Odyssey. In 2010, a joint Soviet-American mission is sent to investigate the mysterious monolith orbiting Jupiter, known as "Big Brother." As the crew of the spaceship Discovery and their counterparts aboard the Soviet spacecraft Leonov embark on their journey, they encounter unexpected phenomena and face the enigmatic intelligence behind the monoliths. 2010: Odyssey Two explores themes of evolution, artificial intelligence, and humanity's place in the cosmos, continuing the exploration of the universe begun in Clarke's earlier works.
