Earth's greatest creature and his compelling, mystical relationship with humanity.

Sounding takes us into the extraordinary mind and emotions of the magnificent sperm whale, an aging bull who yearns to understand why people can be both vicious killers and frolicking playmates...

Far away, on a doomed Russian submarine, the sonar officer, a classical musician, is spending what he's sure are his last days, listening to the beautiful "sounding" of the whales...

Sounding will excite you, will make you cry and...make you care.
