Richard Paul Evans is the author of eight novels, including The Christmas Box trilogy and The Locket trilogy, as well as the children's books The Dance, The Christmas Candle, The Spyglass, and The Tower. There are currently more than eleven million copies of his books in print. All proceeds from Evans's books for children go to the Christmas Box House International, an organization that he founded, dedicated to building shelters and providing services for abused children. Evans and his family divide their time between Utah and Italy.
