Although there are several books that examine special aspects of Hegel's philosophy, this is the first work in English to give a complete and connected view of Hegel's entire system in all its ramifications.  All of Hegel's essential thoughts have been stated clearly and simply.  Lucidity has been achieved not by omitting or slurring over difficult concepts, but by thinking them through and presenting them in concise, easy-to-follow language.

Stace's Philosophy of Hegel is an excellent aid for the philosophy student who plans to read Hegel's own texts, or for the general reader who has insufficient time to read the original texts.

Partial Contents: Greek Idealism and Hegel.  Modern Philosophy and Hegel.  Thought, Being, Monism, Categories, Dialectic Method.  The Logic: Doctrine of Being, Doctrine of Essence, Doctrine of Notion.  The Philosophy of Nature.  The Philosophy of Spirit: Subjective Spirit, Objective Spirit, Absolute Spirit.
