About the Author

Robert M. Pirsig (1928–2017) studied chemistry and philosophy at the University of Minnesota and later earned a master's degree in journalism. He also studied Oriental philosophy at Benares Hindu University in India. He is the author of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and its sequel, Lila.
